Hello 2018 - Life update, New Content and Free Printables!

rest
Hello everyone,

Welcome back to Miss Styler Blog, and my first blog post of 2018.
What have I been up too?

Why have I waited till the end of January to publish one of those ‘New Year, New me’ kind of posts. Well I’ll tell you, I had a chill month! yes that's right, no new diet plan and no new fitness regime for me. Why? Because I have no interest to be honest, and I never did. Even through the years I tried the gym, I tried different fitness classes and just never enjoyed them or felt comfortable doing them. Even though they say its good for your health and wellbeing to eat healthy and exercise, which I'm sure is true. But this January I said I’m just going to focus on what I’m good at, take some time to reflect and rest up as the Christmas months was very busy and tiring. I believe that the body needs to rest  after a long period of busy time, for health reasons, and mentality as well. So that’s what I did, I stood back from the blog, focused on my work as a Nail technician, and began planning a plan of action!

By doing that I could see what the blog was lacking, what was working and what wasn't. I went through stats on both the blog and social media to find out what topics you guys like. I found that both beauty and fashion posts were both popular when it came to my appearance and style, instead of a review of a piece of clothing or product was more interesting to you as a reader, as both 'What I've Had done' and 'Swimsuits vs Bikini's - A girlie holiday to Albufeira' is my most viewed blog posts of 2017. Even though my series of 'Shop my wish list' posts was weekly viewed continuously. But I have decided to stop that content for now, to make room for new! Don't worry the content is still there, just search 'Shop my wish list' in the search bar, and all posts will appear. On Social media, my Instagram selfie's (Most Liked Selfie of 2017) and Outfits (Most liked outfit shot of 2017) shots are growing popular too, So I'll keep doing the outfit shots, and selfie's, but maybe I'll shake it up a bit and add more creativity into my Instagram feed. As I do enjoy the photography side of blogging. On Facebook it all about the Nails and Motivating quotes in 2017, you Facebook fans loved my multi nail inspiration posts and even my own work in the Nail boutique too. Which I was delighted to see, as my new content plans for 2018 will consist of a lot more nails.

In work I became a Nail educator in the Nail Boutique, which means I am training up any new staff whom are joining this wonderful company which is growing rapidly! Which I’m delighted about as I always wanted to teach in the beauty industry, at the moment I am just training staff, as I complete my teacher training course. When that is complete there is plans to start ‘the NailBou Academy’, which I can tell you guys more about by the end of the year. So I wanted to combine my new role as an Nail educator with the blog and give you guys some fresh new content too. So stay tuned for that!

So with working 40 hours a week, doing a teaching course, completing assignments and creating content for the blog and social media,  and also make time for friends and family and Me time, I needed to be organised! I needed my stress levels down, I needed to self motivate myself, and keep on top of the small but important details without feeling overwhelmed at the same time. But its OK, we all juggle things on a daily basis, we all have our own ways of seizing the day, and we all strive for the best. We just need to find our own way of doing it and what will make our lives happier.

Where or how did I start?
1. Decluttered my bedroom and work place, once I threw out what I didn’t need any more, I made space for new things. (or declutter your whole house?)
2. I wrote down My Goals and gave myself deadlines to complete those goals.
3. Then bought myself a new planner and Started Planning out my plan of action to reach those goals. Also started a new routine of planning out my week ahead every Sunday evening, creating my to do list, writing in my work hours, what I need to prepare for work and also what content I wanted to post that week on my social media.

After doing that my motivation for the new year kicked in, I felt more prepared, I knew what I was doing and where I was going instead of letting the weeks fly by and getting bored of the normal day to day routine. Like the saying goes ‘eat, sleep, nails, repeat’. Now I'm ready and welcome new changes, new opportunities and positive thinking.

One thing my Mam taught me growing up, was to be organised, be prepared in advanced, Sticking to a routine, and go to bed early!
Ah she’s a good mammy! And mammy's are always right!

So now my weeks ahead are planned out, I know what needs to be done and where I need to be, I can continue 2018 without the that overwhelming feeling of ‘there is so much to do and so little time to do it’. My stress levels are down, I’m prepared and ready for everything thrown in my way.
So I wanted to give you guys a little boast and self motivation to help you out a bit if you struggling. Below are some free (image) pintables to get you started on your 2018 adventures, have you set yourself goals for this year? have you planed out how are you going to achieve those goals? these printable may help the process for you, so save them, print them, edit them.

Have you ever made a dream or vision board?

A board of all the things you want in your life, holidays or places you want to visit, that dream kitchen you always wanted, that promotion in work that you have been waiting for, or even your ideal soul mate to come into your life (for any singletons out there!) It can be anything! It’s your dream board, it can be as weird and wonderful as you make it! Having these things on a board In a place of vision, where you can see it every day, will help you manifest those things in your life.

How do you manifest,  want to learn how to do it?

My friend Trudie over on Indigo Grace can help! Join her group all about manifestation, what it is, how to use it and see the magic happen. I’m also in this group and have seen changes in my life and others. Things in life that are meant to happen for you will happen quickly once you open your mind to a more positive mind-set. Trudie is very active and involved in the group, giving you support and motivation you need. Lets just say last year I had two things on my vision board, which at the time seemed a bit far fetch. One was becoming a Nail educator (which actually happened in November 2017) and the other was to visit Paris, which as I write this blog post my bestie is texting me dates, flights and hotels, and we are booking it next weekend (Yes, I know Paris is under water at the moment due to heavy rain but hopefully it will be ok when we do go) So life couldn't be better for me at the moment and I am so grateful for the opportunities and amazing people around me. What if I didn't sign up to Trudie's Manifestation group will I still be in the situation I am in now? To be honest I don't think so, my way of thinking before is very different to now. So I HIGHLY recommend learning about manifestation, and practising it too! Just Click HERE!

You could use the free pintable's for your dream board too! If you want some inspiration on what to put on your board, Pinterest is a great place to look! There are loads of vision/dreams Pinterest boards made by people all over the world, and some of the most successful people in the media and business world you know today. You can view my one, and follow the board for weekly inspiration, as I’m pinning nearly every day. Click here for my 'Vision board' Pinterest board.

So now you have some to tools to make 2018 your year to shine, I hope this information helps you to achieve those goals, give you the motivation to make positive changes in your life!
Let’s do this year right, who’s with me?

I will be posting a blog post every two weeks from here on in, I’m thinking of a beauty one next, I bought a few new things with my Christmas Vouchers which I’m kind of obsessed with. I’ll give one word ‘L’Oreal’!! I will notify you guys over on my social media when it’s published as usually, who is loving Insta - stories by the way? Because I am, I'm cheating on snapchat!

Enjoy planning your 2018, and setting your goals!

Talk to you soon
