Swimsuit's Vs Bikini's - Girlie Holiday to Albufeira

Hello Ladies,

Happy June bank holiday! Did we have a good one? I sure did! I spent the weekend in Kilkenny catching up with an old forever friend. We had a great time, and feeling fresh today. Pity about the lovely Irish weather though.

So Couple weeks ago I spent three days in Albufiera, Portugal with a group of fantastic girls! We have been on countdown to this holiday since January. I think I was packing my suitcase since February, I'm such a OCD Organising weirdo, but hey that's how I get things done! So I don't have travel packing tips for you today, as usual I over packed and didn't wear half the clothes I brought with me. But I still had loads of room in my carry on case, so maybe one day I share how I pack my suitcase for holidays and trips away. But today I am going to share my favourites pieces that I brought along with me!

So first up, for traveling I wanted to be casual and comfy for driving, running through airports and sitting on a plane. So I wore a light lose white t-shirt with my grey yoga leggings and this oversized sweater from pennys. You may of seen this in my recent 'Spring Haul'. I also picked up this bag from Next in the January sales. As we didn't check on a suitcase, we only had our carry on luggage and handbag so this bag was great as it gave me extra room.

So what did I use for a bag for nights out, sightseeing and all that? Well a 'bum bag'!
Yes that's right these bags are everywhere this summer, I know there not the most flattering things to wear, and very touristy! But now 'Bum Bags' come in all different colours, patterns.
I promise you, this bag will be your best friend! I actually miss wearing this, as its so handy! Just enough to keep you phone and money safe, and away from holiday pick pocketers!
This one is from Penny's, has a silver metal pattern on it and went well with all my outfits!

So I argued with myself about what clothes to bring, Playsuits, dresses, shorts, maxi's?!
But when I went through my summer wear wardrobe, I found denim shorts that I haven't worn in years or never worn as I haven't been on Holiday in 3 years! So there's is my first tip! Try on old holiday clothes before you buy new holiday clothes! I loved these three shorts, white and black I wore on nights out with a simple black and white bodysuits. and the blue denim for during the day.

So Something I had to buy new was, bikini's and swimsuits! Now I struggled this year with bikini's. finding the right fit and shape for my flat chest. It was difficult to say the least! But Swimsuits were everywhere? Not the ones you swim laps in the pools in but bodyshape flattering sexy ones!
I wish I picked up more because I brought 3 bikini's and one swimsuit, and felt more comfortable and confident in the swimsuit then I did in the bikini. This one is from Penny's, it has a plunge back, high raised hips, this baby gave me a bum and curves.

Ok so I'm obsessed with barrettes at the minute, as I'm quite flat chested, wired bra's just don't do anything for me and look very fake boobie looking. So I've embraced the small boobies to started wearing these barrettes. Extremely comfortable, supported and feel confident wearing them.
They are also a great way to change up an outfit too. These ones are also from Penny's.

I didn't bring much jewellery with me but I did bring this Choker that I won on a Live raffle from two beautiful, charming and very funny ladies (who I did not go on holidays with, ha!)
From Pop my Pearls, a real life pearl that came from an real life ulster, in a sterling silver Heart cage. With the black and silver studded choker this went with every outfit I had on holidays, and just made the outfit too. Thank you Leah & Sharon! They go Live on Facebook every Friday night with fun raffles, bingo and special offers on ulster openings and jewellery.

Oh I wish I could go back, it was such a great trip! and a great group of girls to spend a holiday with too. If you haven't been to Albufeira I would highly recommend it! and for those who have been would agree with me in saying the people there are so nice, the food is delicious and the views are to die for!
