Nail Art Inspired by - Dream Vacations

Ever since I was little Art was always one of my favorite thing to do, crafty, drawing, painting, sculpting, it all. I remember copying the art work on birthday cards and Christmas cards. But drawing something from memory was a struggle. So when I starting doing nails, most of my inspiration came from other nail techs work, being handed a nail photo and following along to the pattern. But grew tired of doing that, and after a while I lost my natural inspiration, I've been so used to a client handing me a photo to follow along to, and when the next client says do what you like? I'm slightly panic? the pressure is on to create something new and also something that your client will love. Something that is individual, and shows that persons personality. So during the quarantine period, and I have been looking for that natural inspiration to come back, my rule is not to look at other nails or other peoples work but to think outside the box, test the nail at skills, and find inspiration with just things around you, things you see everyday, things you love and dream about. So this is Part one of a new blog series called 'Nail art inspired by', each one will be a different theme. I'll explain where the inspiration came from, show step by step images of the Nail art I've created and also what technique were used if you want to give these designs ago yourself.  But if you are a nail tech reading this, the purpose of these series is to challenge your skills, open your mind to objects and things around you and get painting, Try it, you might surprise yourself. And when all this is over and were back at the nail desk doing what we love, we will never have that overwhelming feeling again when I client says 'Just do what you like!'

Recently I have been updating my pinterest boards, I totally revamped the branding, removed and added new pins as times have changed and so I have I my interested have changed too. It was a very refreshing little task to do, which sparked some inspiration when I was pinning images to my location board, these are places around the world  where I have  not been yet and would love to visit one day! So I sat down, picked out a few images and started painting. Found this so relaxing and fun to do. Here's where I went...
