My Hero's, L'Oreal and Rose Water!
Hello February!
Its a brand new month, brand new season and a brand new blog post! How is everyone doing? Are we enjoying the new month so far, January was a loonnngg month wasn't it? Even though we are at the end of February now, plans are been put in place, I have come out of my January hibernation, and the spring is creeping in! Yeay, Sunshine and fresh mornings. So as this is sort of a favorites blog post, I'll share some of my favorite moments in February just briefly now. Lets start with Pancake Tuesday vs Valentines day? Now I didn't have a valentines this year (surprise surprise!) so pancake Tuesday won it for me this year. Tuesday is my day off from work, which was one bonus, I was gonna go out and treat myself to some fancy looking pancakes but I couldn't wait so I made my own instead, which you can see over on my Instagram and then finished the day going to see the new Fifty shades freed film with my best friend. I have to say it was my favorite of the three films, as Anna is more of a girl boss in this one, plus Mr. Grey is so much Hotter!! So that was a fun chilled day. What did you guys think of the film?
(Currently listening to the Fifty shades freed sound track, its addictive!)
OK, I'm getting distracted, FOCUS Steff!
Today I thought I'll share my morning make up and skincare routine, as a lot of my family and friends are noticing my skin is a lot more clearer and brighter lately. So I'll tell you guys what I've been using for the last few months, and to be honest I'm scared to try anything else?! I just keep buying
the same products and haven’t been tiring out any new ones because these
beauties are doing wonders for my skin, my complexion and just make life easy
when you rushing out the door in the morning. So let just get straight into
it..
The Garnier skinActice skincare range with rose water, its soothing for dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin. A friend of mine recommended trying a rose oil or water for my skin type. I would have sensitive, dry skin and suffer with breakouts too on a regular basis. So I came across this range when it was new to Boots back sometime last year, and have been using it ever since. Usually I would finish a bottle and try something new, but with this range I bought it three times since! So thank you Aoife for recommending Rose water for my skin, you were spot on!
Next is L’Oréal CC Cream and BB cream, Amazing products! I first bought the BB cream as it's a 5 in 1 skin perfecter. Gives Flawless complexion, even skin texture, radiant glow, 24hour hydration and seamless coverage, Plus has a SPF 20. So even using this without the CC cream is enough, I started using this as a primer under my foundation, but then when I purchased a second one and said I'll try the CC cream with it, to reduce redness around my nose and chin (problem areas). So now on most days, I don't wear foundation just these two beauties.
I’ve become a bit of a junkie when it comes to L’Oreal at
the moment, the true match foundation is my all time favorite and I'm sure you will all agree, good coverage, long lasting, true color match, seamless finish and no cakey looking face. What more can I say? This foundations also lets my skin breathe, which means I don't get as much breakouts as I would with another foundation, which is the mean reason I always keep on buying it, its my safety blanket.
And if my skin wasn't perfected enough, I also use the L'Oréal true match concealer, which is a little lighter then the foundation, so perfect finish to brighten up the under eye with either the foundation or BB and CC cream alone. I also use this with my real technique detail brush to carve out my brows. Now this is a new brow product I have been using, yes its L'Oréal again, the Paradise Pomade Extatic brow gel, when applied starts as a gel and then is easy to fade out, to fill in any gaps. Firstly, the packaging is very pretty and comes with its own brow brush too, so its slowly growing on me also.
That's it, my favorite skincare products and everyday make products that I'm absolutely loving, some I will call my all time favorites, my skin hero's and safety blankets. and also my skin is loving too. I've just falling back in love with L'Oréal, it was one of my first make up brands I used when growing up, so effective and affordable as a product you can rely on daily. I don't know why I ever stopped!
I'm on the look out for more Rose oil/water based products too, as I need a good daily exfoliate and face mask. Which I'm sure there is one out there, I just need to get looking!
