'It's all about Nails' - My Summer '17 Favourites, Part One.

Hello Ladies,

Its August already! What a gorgeous Irish summer we are having? With the August bank holiday approaching, the Irish debs are starting this week, weddings and holidays in full swing, it has been crazy busy in the salon. I haven't been blogging as much as I would like to be as I was feeling quite drained and tired with it being busy season for nails and beauty. So I took some time away from blogging to recharge, find out what's going on and just rest up. But I'm getting back on track now, inspiration is just starting to flow and my motivation is slowly coming back. So I pulled out my laptop that has been hidden for about two months to write a series of blog posts that highlight my summer of 2017.

So since all I have been doing lately is nails, I thought I show you what I have done on my nails for 'Summer 2017', tell you what colours I have been obsessing about and give you an insight on the latest summer nail trends.

If you follow me on Facebook and Instagram you probably have see my pictures of my nails as I've posted them.
But here are my four favourites...

May's Nails -  Girlie holiday to Portugal.

In a medium length, almond nail shape, in colours 'Cityscape' CND Shellac, 'Spark' Lecente glitter, and 'Embossed Peach' The Manicure Company.

Cityscape is one of my all time favourite colours from CND Shellac. I seem to full back to this soft grey shade to neutralize the bolder colours. This picture doesn't do the glitter nail any justice, the rainbow sparkle from this nail was gorgeous sitting beside the pool.

June Nails - Craving my Claws!

So when I came back to work after a two week break, new bright, bold and vibrant colours arrived.

Here I have the popular Ballerina toe nail shape or coffin nail shape as some may call it.
In colours 'Vice' and 'White/Grey Marble' from the manicure company.
The marble nail design was hand painted on and this summer's most asked nail art. I loved this marble trend that we are seeing every where,  I loved having this on my nails.

July's Nails - Needed Help deciding

So June and July was a draining month for myself, I was undecided, lost inspiration and just need someone to pick a colour for me for a change. So I did, I picked four pictures of nails I liked and seen on social media, posted them to Facebook and ask you ladies what to go for?
OH MY the feedback was amazing!

So here was the result, I went back to my medium almond nail shape and my all time favourite colour 'Cityscape' CND Shellac, 'Matte White' with colourful hand painted feathers, with 'South Beach' on the pinkie.

August Nails - Get out of my comfort zone

So this is what my nails currently look like! I loved the Facebook feedback so I did it again and let you guys decide for me. I'm going to challenge myself a bit more in my skill set so keep an eye out on next months choices on Facebook.

Here I kept my almond nail shape, used colours 'Tropical Popical' and 'Modesty' from the Manicure company with some hand painted nail art.
I would never pick a green for myself, but I have to say I'm loving this colour on my hand. This 'Henna' inspired nail art has also been a trend over the summer months.

I hope you liked this blog post, if you do you can let me know by either Tweet Me!, Leave a comment below on Facebook, or head over to Instagram to see my latest Nail Pic!
