The 6th Day of Christmas: My Top 5 Christmas Movies

My Top 5 Christmas Movies

I love nothing more than settling down to a good movie.
One of the best ways to get that festive feeling is to watch a great Christmas movie, here are my Top 5 Christmas Movies.

1. Miracle on 34th Street

This is by far a forever favourite for me. I love the 1994 version. I watch it every Christmas eve without fail. There is nothing quite like putting on some new pyjamas, turning on all the Christmas lights and watching miracle on 34th Street.

2. Home Alone

When you see home alone on the TV you know it’s officially Christmas. I love all the Home Alone movies but my favourite has to be the original Home Alone (1990). I watch this one every year because it reminds me of Christmas growing up when I would sit with my brother watching it laughing our hearts out. I loved how Kevin would outsmart the baddies every time.

3. Elf

Released in 2003. Buddy is defiantly the biggest elf ever but he is my favourite elf. This is a nice light hearted movie all the family can enjoy together. Buddys reaction to all things New York is purely comical and would put anyone in a good mood.

4. The Santa Clause

There is currently 3 movies in The Santa Clause collection now and I love all three of them. The first was released in 1994. Every year since I was little, my mam and I would watch The Santa Clause movies in December. Fire lighting, Christmas tree lit up, nibbles and The Santa Clause movies sounds perfect for a cold December night.

5. Christmas with the Kranks

Released in 2004 this movie quickly became a favourite in my household because it was different to the usual Christmas movies and both children and adults could relate to it equally.

I always watch this one while getting ready for a night out or my Christmas party to get me in the Christmas spirit.
