Monart's Destination Spa: Review Part One

Hello all,

Have you ever been for a Five Star luxury spa vacation?
Have you ever wanted to lounge around in nothing but a fluffy white robe and slippers?
Or do you just need a break away from your busy schedule and buzzing technology?
Well I have the perfect place for you to visit, that provides all that and more!!

Monart Destination Spa located in Enniscorthy Co. Wexford, also known as the Great Escape has been on my Bucket list for years.
As this was my first Five Star experience, my expectations were very high and I wasn't disappointed. My mother and I booked our pampering one night vacation with a great special offer called 'Monart Midweek Haven'. Here is what was included...

MONART MIDWEEK HAVEN (MONDAY - THURSDAY)

(Available Monday to Thursday)

On Arrival we were greeted by a lovely gentlemen who kindly carried our bags into the hotel and also parked our car. While we strolled through the old house into the hotel reception in the new building, we couldn't stop looking at the fabulous decor, wide open windows and the stunning garden scenery.

We were then greeted by the hotel receptionist with a complimentary berry smoothie, while seated for the 3.00 pm check in. After Enjoying the refreshing smoothie we were given a guided tour of the hotel before shown to our deluxe room.
(the new building has no internet access, but the library in the old house has).

The deluxe room was divine!! I was in awe of the soft pastel walls, memory foam mattresses and spa-like designed bathroom. That you could easily fit five people in the shower and three in the bath tub, it was that big! Just look at these photo's, we were in Hotel room heaven.

The Hotel encourages you to wear swimwear and white robes for your entire stay but do ask you to dress for dinner. As soon as our bags were brought to our room we quickly changed and headed straight down to the spa.

First we filled in our consultation forms and were given a guided tour of this beautiful spa.  With sauna, steam-room, infra-red room, thermal pool, (of which there are many) a Hair salon and the Spa Cafe to indulge in.

I couldn't wait to get started and didn't know where to go first, as we were spoilt for choice.
To keep us hydrated, there were complimentary fruit infused water and fresh fruit. We took a dip into the thermal pool to release all our muscle tension, before it was time to venture back to the room to get dressed for dinner. Time flies when your that chilled!

While getting ready for dinner in Monart's renowned Restaurant, the door bell rings with a lovely lady asking if we would like her to turn down our beds for us, but we kindly declined that sweet gesture. She was so nice!
She also gave us a letter to make us aware of breakfast times to save any distress during our relaxing break, the weather forecasts for that evening and the next day and a sweet quote that read..
"Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why."  by Eddie Cantor,
oh and a mint chocolate, can't forget that!!

So off to dinner we went in our summery frocks (See what I wore Here>>). The Restaurant staff were so friendly and kept us smiling the whole time we were seated.

Here is what we ordered... (I apologize to the chef if this menu is not perfectly described, but I'll try my best!)

 ~ Selection of Bread & dip ~

~ Amuse Bouche ~
 Tomato chapatti, lemon yogurt.

So that's it for Part one of my Monart experience, keep an eye out for Part two where I tell you what we had to wash down dinner with, what breakfast was like and more important my Spa treatment.

Talk to you Soon!
